Built Different-Gentleness
In a world that often celebrates power, status, and self-promotion, Jesus points us toward a different kind of strength. This message invites us to discover the beauty of gentleness, not as weakness, but as a heart fully surrendered to God. Through the words of Jesus in the Sermon on the Mount and the powerful stories of Luke 15, we see what matters most to the Father: people who are lost being found.
The parables of the lost sheep, the lost coin, and the prodigal son reveal a God who relentlessly pursues His children and rejoices when even one person comes home. Heaven celebrates redemption, restoration, and grace.
Yet the most challenging part of the story may not be the younger son who wandered away, but the older son who never left. Standing outside the celebration, he reminds us how easily faithfulness can drift into pride, resentment, or self-righteousness. His struggle forces us to examine our own hearts and ask whether we have become more focused on earning God's approval than enjoying His presence.
This message is a call to embrace the gentle heart of Jesus, to lay down pride, and to step fully into the Father's joy. In the kingdom of God, the truly blessed are not those who demand their rights, but those who humbly trust the Father and reflect His grace to others.
